Bantwal, Dec 26, 2019: A quarrel between two brothers culminated in the murder of   the younger brother at Bolangady near Melkar on December 26, Thursday morning.

The deceased  has been identified as  Muyya alias Leo Lobo (50). His elder brother Kille alias Cyril Lobo is the accused.

Neighbours revealed that the brothers often clashed   over financial issues  under the influence of alcohol. On Thursday  too they had picked up a quarrel and had begun hitting each other with sticks when  Leo who  was badly injured   collapsed to death. Sources revealed that Cyril had  lent around Rs 1.5 lakh to his younger brother and was pestering the latter to return the amount.

Bantwal Police are investigating the case.
