Bantwal, Nov 07, 2017: Five teenagers who went for swimming on Monday evening were reported ‘missing’ when they did not return to their homes late on Monday night. While the body of Four teenagers have been recovered from the Phalguni river here on Tuesday, November 7.

Bantwal police said that they have recovered the bodies of Aslam (17), Mudasir (18), Rameez (17) and Sawad (18). Deep divers from Mangaluru have been engaged to find the other missing youth, Ajmal (17).

As per the sources, the family of all five were unaware that their kids have gone for swimming, and when they did not return home late on Monday the panicked family members started to gather information about them from their friends. It was then the families came to know about their swimming plan, following which a search operation was launched on Monday night.

A huge number of residents gathered near the Phalguni river, where the boys had allegedly gone for swimming.

Police officials are supervising the search operation by the swimming experts. A case has been registered at Bantwal Rural police station in this regard.
