Bantwal auto burn

Mohammed Ansar, a resident of Goodinabali, caused a disturbance after being fined by the on-duty officer. Ansar was driving his auto-rickshaw without proper attire and was using his mobile phone while driving. Subsequently, Sutesh, a PSI from the Bantwal traffic police station, intercepted him and issued a fine of Rs 2000.

Enraged by the fine, Ansar engaged in a heated argument with the officers. In a burst of anger, he poured petrol from his auto-rickshaw in an attempt to set it on fire.

PSI Sutesh accused Ansar of also pouring petrol on the police vehicle. A case has been lodged against Ansar in connection with the incident at the Bantwal city police station.

A video that went viral captured Ansar venting his frustration over the fine. In the footage, he can be heard shouting that he was fined despite explaining that he didn’t have any money on him.
