Bantwal : Crude bomb kept for hunting purpose kills cow

 Bantwal, Oct 19, 2016 :  A cow lost its life when a country bomb which was  kept by some people with an intention of hunting wild animals, exploded   at Chellangaru near here on October 18, Tuesday.

 

The cow owned by Radhakrishna Moolya which used to graze in the nearby hills had not returned on Monday evening. When Radhakrishna and his wife rushed to the hills in search of their cow, they found it under a tree with  its face  severely burnt. The cow later died on Tuesday.

The post-mortem of the cow was conducted and some of its parts have been sent for lab tests.

There has been a demand for action against those responsible for planting the country bomb.
