Bantwal, Sep 1, 2015: Police have launched a manhunt for the assailants  who  were responsible for the brutal murder of a youth and for grievously injuring two of his friends in a gang attack  at Kanyana market area in Vittal on August 30, Sunday.


Bantwal : Cops launch manhunt for Kanyana murder accusedA police team led by Circle Inspector is camping in Kanyana to avert any possible untoward incident in retaliation to the killing.

As already reported a five member gang   had arrived by a car bearing Kerala registration number  and had attacked three men who belonged to a gang which was a breakaway faction. If Asif (24) from Bayikatte near Paivalike lost his life in the attack, Hakim (20) and Riyaz (24) had sustained critical injuries. It is believed that the Nappate Rafiq gang was behind the gruesome attack.  Police teams have been sent to Kerala to gather hints about the killers.

It has been gathered that the deceased Asif was wanted in a number of cases including the case of attempt on the life of Pilinguli Satish Rai of Kanyana. He was even arrested once for stealing a tipper in 2012. Even the injured youth were involved in several cases including sand mining, police said.

After the attack the accused had fled  in an autorickshaw after threatening its driver named Iqbal by brandishing weapons as the tyres of their car had got punctured when they had rammed it against the bike of the victims.

The youths are not bothered about being caught by police because money talks these days,can get bail and attend. The police are being easily fooled by criminals. They make use of all filmy techniques and escape from the scene and stay in a hide out.
