Bantwal: A woman dies following a truck carrying sand collide with a car

Bantwal, May 8, 2015: A women died on the spot and two others injured when sand loaded truck colluded with Maruthi Omni car near Soorikumeru, near Kallada in Bantwal taluka on 08 May 2015.
The deceased identified as Sarswathi resident of Kodipady in Puttur. The injured are hospitalized.
The number accidents and traffic jam incidents are increasing after large number of sand transporting trucks is involved in transporting sand towards Tumkur and Bengaluru.
In another fatal road accident has been reported from Sullia Police Station and on May 07 in a hit and run case one Laxmi Amma, aged 71, died in the hospital. While she was walking on foot path an unknown vehicle knocked down her injuring her seriously. Further she was admitted to A.J Hospital at Mangalore and where she succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.
Total six person injured in four separate road accidents reported from Bantwal, Vitla and Belthangady.
