Bank Cash heist of Rs 7.5 Cr in city, 3 of the culprits arrested

Mangaluru, May 17, 2017: Reports confirm that Mangaluru police with the assistance of Kodagu police arrested three accused who absconded with cash of Rs 7.5 crore when transporting currency notes from Mangaluru to Bengaluru. A four member team from private company here deputed to transport the cash amount by a four wheeler from Mangaluru based Axis Bank chest to another branch of the same bank located in Bengaluru last week.

On thgeir way to Bengaluru, the four accused Karibasava, Parashurama, two gun men Basappa and Povanna took the cash of Rs 7.5 crore and abandoned the vehicle near Hunsur by which they were travelling to reach the state capital.The police reportedly arrested three out of four accused in Somvarpet taluk forest area and brought them to an unknown location for further investigation.
