Mangaluru, Mar 22, 2017: It is reported that the  Kerala police department put in place all security measures to prevent critical situation in the district and state following brutal murder of Madrassa teacher Riyaz (34) on March 20, Monday midnight near Kasaragod town. Yet, the Kerala police do not  have any clue on the murderers and investigation is continuing in various angles, targeting various places in Kerala and Karnataka.

The police is keeping a close eye on the Kasaragod town and near by areas as the region is communal sensitive and communal clashes can occur at any time on minor issues. Meanwhile, a dawn to dusk bandh called by Muslim League in Kasaragod Assembly area limits completed on March 21, Tuesday. No vehicles including private, public transport moved on the roads following the harthal called by the party. Small clashes, stone pelting, lathi charge incidents were reported in Kasaragod town and nearby areas.
