Mangaluru, Sep 28, 2020:    The bandh call given by various organisations including farmers organisations on September 28, Monday to protest against the Farm Bills passed by the Parliament, has evoked no response in Dakshina Kannada district.  Buses both private and KSRTC as well as autorickshaws are plying as usual on the roads. Even business is as usual.

However, police have made elaborate security arrangement as a precautionary measure and over 300 additional police personnel have ben   deployed at various places across the city.  SIx KSRP and 8 DAR batallions and 50 Home Guards are also deployed.

Various organisations and parties including DYFI, CPI, CPI(M), JD(S), Congress, AITUC and farmer organisations are expected to protest outside the Mini Vidhana Saudha today.
