Mangaluru, Mar 17, 2015: Speaking after releasing the book ’RSS mattu BJP: Onde Daari- Bhinna Shrama’, Kannada translation of English book by constitutional expert and political analyst A G Noorani, translated by Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike District President Suresh Bhat Bakrabail, at CODP Hall in Nanthoor in Managluru on March 16.
Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Dinesh Amin Mattu challenged Udupi Pejavar Mutt Seer Sri Vishweshwara Theertha Swamiji to make dalits sit beside the upper class people, while serving food in Udupi Mutt, if the seer had real concern for dalits. He accused Pejavar seer of following double standards and criticised his statement that the caste system should remain but not untouchability.
D A Mattu said social revolution is impossible by visiting dalit colonies. Dalit people are not in need of the seer’s religious speeches. The real revolution should start from within the mutt, by scrapping the system of ’pankthi beda’, discrimination being followed while serving food and such. "The dalits should ban the vaidika temples if discrimination is made against them," he added that Narayanaguru lead a silent revolution against caste discrimination by building separate temples for lower caste people. Unfortunately, people like Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary, could not understand the real principles of Narayana Guru.
Hypocrisy : Coming down heavily on the RSS and BJP, Mattu criticised that hypocrisy is the identity of RSS. The RSS and its allies, have been creating confusion among people since a long time. He questioned whether RSS believes in the Hindu ideals proposed by Swami Vivekananda, which batted for the integration of Hindus and Muslims. RSS should state the real definition of Hinduthva. "Narendra Modi has been following the bunch of thoughts, which is the noble scripture of RSS, right from the time when he attained power. He criticised that it took 65 years for Modi to realise that the Constitution is the ultimate religion. It is unfortunate that he could not realise this during Godhra riots in Gujarat," he said.
Writer and journalist Ramzan Dargah who was a guest on the occasion stated that the religious fascism that is growing in India, is more than the racial fascism that was witnessed by Germany. "A few communal powers and fundamentalists are contaminating the minds of innocents in the names of Hindu and Islam religions. Congress has also been indirectly responsible for the growth of communal force," he mentioned.
