Mangaluru, May 9, 2016 : GSB Rakshana Vedike, an affiliate organisation of the GSB Temples’ Federation has alleged that some visual and print media were deliberately spreading false information with an intention to bring disrepute to the Shree Venkatramana Temple and GSB community, in connection with the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga.
In a press communique, the Vedike has said that neither the GSB community nor the Temple have any role in the case. It also informed that there were plans to hold a protest meet on a large scale to condemn the developments.
The GSB community believed in utmost devotion to the Lord, hard work and also the fact that the God would punish those who have erred, the Trust said it was also of the firm belief that the Management Board of the Temple strongly believed in the Law of the Land and would not participate in such misdeeds. Some vested interests were spreading false rumours through social media, it said.
Clarifying that there had been no irregularities of any sort during the temple renovation and reconsecration , the Trust said all necessary information has been provided to the court. The administration of the Temple is also disciplined and transparent, the Trust said and alleged that false news are being spread regarding the Kashi Mutt Samsthan and its pontiff.
When Circle Inspector Shantharam of Bunder Police station had arrived at the Temple in connection with the investigation, all cooperation was extended to him and will be expended in the future too, the Trust said.
The Trust has also requested community members not to heed to false rumours and help in upholding the honour of the Temple and the Kashi Mutt.
