Mangaluru, June 24, 2016: The sensational Vinayak Baliga Murder Case seems to have reached its climax with the arrest of the alleged prime conspirator Naresh Shenoy. Unconfirmed reports reaching here state that the erstwhile Namo Brigade Founder Naresh Shenoy has been nabbed by the CCB police, amidst conflicting claims that the arrest took place in a forest guest house in Uppinangady or in Kerala.
Sources say that Shenoy is presently being interrogated at an undisclosed location in Mangaluru after he was brought to the city. The Police Department has not yet confirmed the news of Shenoy’s arrest. There is also no information as to when Shenoy was arrested.
It may be recalled here that Shenoy was at large ever since his name figured as the prime suspect in the case, a few days after Vinayak Baliga was brutally hacked to death on the morning of March 21.
Police have already filed preliminary charge sheet in the case and have named Shenoy as the prime accused and along with six others.
