Moodbidri: August 21, 2015: The Bajrang Dal Activists were allegedly assaulted by a group of men for reporting the police about illegal possession of cows in a slaughter house near Moodbidri on August 20 Thursday.

The three injured have been identified as Sharan (20)  Prajwal (25) and Lokesh (24) all from Gantalkatte.

Bajrang Dal leader Somnath said to the sources that" The activists had information about the illegal possession of cows in a slaughter house, on visiting the spot they found 30 cows. The activists informed the police about the matter who immediatly arrived at the spot".

When the police arrived, there was a chaos which irked clashes among the activists and members of slaughter house.

The police used baton to control the situation. The Bajrang dal activists were assaulted in the clash and were admitted to government hospital in Moodbidri.

A case has been registered in a local police station. The police have taken up the investigation.
