Bag of jewels lost in train, found near Kulshekhar railway track

Mangaluru, Mar 01, 2023: A trolley bag containing jewels belonging to a couple which was lost while travelling in a train from Mumbai to Mangaluru, was traced near the Kulshekhar railway track.
On February 27, Ravindra M Shetty (74) along with his wife Shashikala was travelling in the train when the trolley bag was lost while the train was moving from Suratkal towards Mangaluru.
A case has been registered in Mangaluru Railway Police Station.
A special team led by Railway Police Inspector Mohan Kottari was investigating the case. When the special team along with the railway staff was patrolling the track, they found the trolley bag near the railway track on the curve near the Kulshekhar tunnel.
The bag contained gold and diamond jewels weighing 245 grams valued at Rs 8.57 lakhs.
