Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2014: PK Sreemathi Teacher, MP from Kannur and CPI(M) Central Committee Member has said that the Make in India Campaign of the BJP government at the Centre would in no way benefit the nation.
Speaking after inaugurating a public meeting as part of the 21st Dakshina Kannada District Conference of CPI(M) on December 30, Tuesday, said instead of Make in India, the government should go in for a Work in India campaign to provide jobs to the unemployed.
Sreemathi who spoke in Malayalam also charged the Union Government of framing policies that benefit the corporate. She also stated that the BJP Government at the Centre which came to power with many promises was now showing its true colours. Even the promise of bringing black money back to the nation has not been kept, she said.
GV Srirama Reddy, CPI(M) State Secretary charged the BJP government of propagating neo-liberal and fascist ideologies.
Several party leaders including KR Sriyan, Sunil Kumar Bajal, Vasanth Achari and others were present.
A rally was taken out by CPI(M) workers from Ambedkar Circle to the meeting venue.
