BJP govt interested in publicity rather than welfare : Ramanatha Rai

Mangaluru, July 17, 2018: Referring to PM Modi’s ’Bail Gaadi’ dig at Congress leaders, former minister B Ramanatha Rai has said that all BJP men including State BJP Chief too are Bail Gaadis and asked what the Prime Minister will do with them.

Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office on July 17, Tuesday, he launched a tirade against the Union Government and said it was only indulging in gimmicks while totally failing on the administrative front.

He said the Union Government which has written off corporate loans worth nearly Rs 2.5 lakh crore, is silent on farm loan waiver. In toto the Bharatiya Janatha Party has become Bharatiya Jhoot Party, he said.

Commenting on the criticisms hurled against the then UPA government over the Nirbhaya incident, he said now incidents of rapes are reported one after the other in the BJP ruled state of Uttar Pradesh. The Union Government is only interested in publicity rather than the welfare of the people. he added.

MLC and District Congress President Harish Kumar, former minister Abhayachandra Jain, former MLA J R Lobo and others were present.
