BJP TP member accused of barging into Kokkada doctor’s clinic, assaulting him

Belthangady, July 13, 2016: A BJP Taluk Panchayat Member from Kokkada, Lakshminarayana T M has been accused of barging inside the Ganesh Clinic of Dr Ganesh Bhat at Kokkada Jodumarga on July 11, Monday and assaulting him. The TP member has also been accused of threatening the doctor.

Sources said earlier in the day Dr Ganesh Bhat who was on way to a temple in his car saw Lakshminarayana reverse his car suddenly and had advised him to be careful while doing so. It is believed that Lakshminarayana who was infuriated over this had barged into the clinic and abused and attacked the doctor even as he was examining a patient. The doctor has suffered injuries in his nose and has been hospitalised.

ASP Dr Vedamurthy visited Dr Ganesh in the hospital to gather information regarding the incident and assured action.

The incident has been strongly condemned by several organisations. B M Bhat, Secretary of CPI(M) Taluk Committee has even sought the arrest of the accused.
