Mangaluru, Feb 27, 2017 : Members of Ullal unit of BJP as well as other Hindu outfits who had planned to stage a black flag demonstration against Food and Civil Supplies Minister UT Khader for his ’chappal’ remarks had to return disappointed as the minister failed to arrive at a venue at Kolya on February 26, Sunday. The minister had earlier invited the wrath of the organisations over his remarks with regard to the bundh call and opposition to Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s visit to Mangaluru.
Nearly 100 activists had gathered following information that the Minister was supposed to attend a felicitation programme of senior leader Seetaram Bangera.
BJP leaders Santosh Kumar Rai Boliyar, Chandrahas Ullal, Muneer Bava and several activists of Hindu outfits too were present at the venue.
