Audio clip row : Salafi leader complains to Police Commissioner

Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2017 : South Kanara Salafi Movement  Vice President Ismail Shafi has lodged a complaint with the City Police Commissioner seeking  action against those who manipulated the  contents in his speech  leading to confusion.

It may be recalled here that an audio tape of the speech of Shafi at a private meeting cautioning against the activities of a radical group in several places of the district had caused anxious moments after it was widely circulated on social sites and had gone viral.

In his complaint, Shafi has said that his speech was in the interest of the society and at the same has been misconstrued and presented in a wrong context by some people.

He has also alleged in the message that  those who distorted his message  aimed at disrupting peace and alleged that  ever since the post has gone viral  there is fear in his mind and that of his family members.
