Kasargod Aug 08, 2016 : Family of Abdul Harris, a native of Adhur, filed a missing complaint with the Kasargod police. Harris has been missing for the last six months.

terror 08 aug 16Family of a 20- year-old youth has filed a missing complaint with Kasargod police. The missing youth, Abdul Harris, left his home in Adhur village in the district a year ago for a job in Ernakulam.

He was in touch with his family until six months ago. Police have not yet confirmed any ISIS links to the missing case. However, all angles including whether he knew those who went missing are being investigated.

His case is under suspicion as he studied in a school in Trikkaripur that is close to the homes of the missing youths from the place, before he left.

This is the second time an incident of missing came to light in Kasargod district. In July, 15 youths from Kerala’s Kasaragod and Palakkad districts, who had travelled to the Middle East, went missing. Their families suspected that they may have joined the Islamic State.

Sources said that all the youths hail from middle class families and had been showing keen interest in religious matters since the last two years.
