Animal care taker Sudhindra Aithal says he is being threatened

Kota, May 7, 2017:  Sudhindra Aithal who is known to be a saviour of sick birds and animals in Saligrama area, has alleged that some people claiming to be from an animal welfare organisation have been harassing him.

"It is my hobby to take care of sick birds and animals. I have so far treated and given shelter to thousands of birds and animals. After a case was registered against me  for rearing wild animals a few years ago, I have been taking care of only domestic animals. Still, some people from animal care organisation have been harassing me and threatening to  book me,"  Aithal has alleged.

He said police who visited his  house on May 5 have threatened him and his family members.

However police have denied the allegations and said that Aithal has been asked not to treat animals violently. Kota police stated that they had received a complaint from an animal welfare organisation stating that many have complained that Aithal was treating animals violently. However, as it was found that he was rearing only domestic animals, no action could be taken against him, they said.
