Angry passport applicants flay passport office staff

Mangalore, September 22: A group of passport applicants yelled slogans against the pass port office staff and some of them tried to enter the office forcibly, resulting in a scuffle between the protestors and the passport office staff at the Pass Port Seva Kendra near PVS circle on Tuesday 21.

 

 

 

One of the passport applicants alleged that he and other applicants had to face problems in spite of the fact that the passport office was new and fully equipped because of the indifferent, careless, and callous attitude of the staff.

A large number of people come from long distances and stand in queues all day, but at the end of the day, the staff asks them to come the following day, he added.

On Tuesday morning, the frustrated passport applicants yelled slogans against the staff and some of them tried to enter the office forcibly, which resulted in a verbal duel between the two parties. The police had to be summoned, and within a few minutes, the police arrived and dispersed the crowd.
