Kannur, Oct 27: BJP national president Amit Shah inaugurated BJP Kannur District office, Mararji Bhavan in Thalikkavu on Saturday, 27th October, 2018 . The building was named after late former party president K.G Marar. After “Grihapraveshum” ceremony Amit Shah inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and hosted the BJP flag. P.S Sreedharan the party State president flaunt the statue of Marar, on behalf of other BJP leaders. MLA, O. Rajgopal, National excicutice member Ms Shobha Surendran, BJP District president P Sathyaprakash, Party State cell co-ordinator K Renjith, V. Muraleedharan presided over the function.

The four -storey  party office building having total area of 10,700 sq.ft has a library in memory of late former  Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a conference hall with video conferencing facilities, an election war-room offices of affiliated organisations , three VIP guest rooms, auditorium, dormitory facilities, kitchen and dining hall .

Amit Shah was the “First passenger” to have walked through the brand new International airport unofficially in a specialised aircraft, which will open shortly to the public. Mr Shah then addressed the public function by criticising Kerala Chief Minister Mr Pinarayi Vijayan regarding Sabarimala issue. He said “if the communist ruling party has taken the same effort that they took for sabarimala issue, Kerala wouldn,t have faced the recent  Disaster” . The function was concluded by cultural programes in the evening which was hosted by famous malayalam film Director Mr Rajasenan.

“We have always respected women, treated them equally. There are various other temple of lord Ayyapa where women are allowded, it’s only this particular Temple where women of particular age group are restricted. There are many Temples in India where men are not allowed to enter”said  Mr Shah.                  V. Muraleedharan interpreted Shah’s speech from Hindi to Malayalam.

Amit Shah and his wife Sonal Shah visited the house of slain party worker Uthaman and his son Remith at their residence in Pinarayi . Mr Shah then left to Varkala for the inauguration of a pooja function in Shivagiri .
