Moodabidiri Aug 16, 2016: Alva’s Educational Institution celebrated 70th Independence Day at open air theatre on Monday August 15th. Bishop of Mangluru diocese Dr Aloysious Paul D’Souza hoisted the tri color flag.
Speaking on the occasion he said that, educational institutions are uplifting and teach people to live in harmonious co-existence. As a citizen of this country we need to keep our surroundings clean and taking care of public property. Youngster need to be active to tackle corruption and making society free and should strive to maintain invaluable freedom, he stressed.
Students were felicitated to brought laurels to Alvas among them were, Anant G who got first rank in CET Medical, Daksha Jain and Ashiq Narayan who got second rank in PU (Commerce) and Mission Queeny D’Costa who secured 357th rank in UPSC were felicitated.
Nealy 24,000 students witness the Independence Day Celebration . Students also performed cultural programmes and demonstrated pyramid and Hulivesha.
MLA K Abhaya Chandra Jain, Chairman of Education Foundation Dr Mohan Alva, Trustees Vivek Alva, Vinay Alva were present.
