All 16 family members of Covid-19 patient from Ullal test positive

Mangaluru, Jun 27, 2020 :  Sixteen  members of the family of the first Covid-19 positive woman patient from Azadnagar,  Ullal have tested positive for Coronavirus. With this, 17 members of the family have in all tested positive for Covid-19.

 

The  57 year old woman from Azadnagar  is presently receiving treatment at Wenlock.  Subsequently the throat swab samples of all other 16 members of her family were taken and  the reports have come positive. Two other members of this family  who had arrived from Saudi are at a private quarantine facility.

A total of 22 Covid-19 positive cases  have been reported from Ullal limits. Those infected include even cops. In all a total of 29 people in Ullal, Derlakatte and Asaigoli areas have tested positive for Covid-19 so far of whom a woman has succumbed to the infection.

If two police officers of Ullal had tested positive recently, two other cops  who were their primary contacts also tested positive today. Two  persons of Krishnapur origin who had arrived from abroad and were in quarantine at a private resort in Ullal have also tested positive. Apart from this two staff of a private food manufacturing unit at Derlakatte have also tested positive.

MLA U T Khader has visited the sealed down areas  of Ullal and has stressed the need for Covid-19 awareness.
