Mangalore, April 29, 2014 : As part of Air India’s scheme under its ongoing airport upgrade offer ‘Get Up Front’ it has started an upgrade scheme for its economy class passengers on domestic network. This facility is available in 43 cities including Mangalore International Airport.
Under the scheme, passengers of economy class can upgrade to executive class on payment of a fixed minimum amount which runs upto Rs 5000 to Rs 7000. This amount will vary depending on the distance of the travel. This facility is subject to availability of seats. A fix amount of Rs. 5,000 will have to be paid for a distance up to 750 km and Rs. 7,000 for a distance above 750 km.
"The offer is open to all passengers holding revenue tickets in economy class, including APEX (advance purchase airfares that provide discounted prices, but with restrictions) fares. The scheme is valid till Oct 31, 2014," the airline said.
A similar upgrade scheme is already available on Air India’s international sectors till June 31, the rates for which depend on the sector and the distance of travel.
