After Sastan, now Talapady toll booth staff assault commuter ; 2 arrested

Mangaluru, May 23,2017 :  Toll gate  staff are in the news of late for allegedly assaulting commuters. If the Sastan toll booth staff were accused of assaulting a man on  May 21, Sunday, the very next day,  the staff at the toll plaza at Talapady have assaulted a person named Ansar (28).

Following a police complaint, two of the staffers namely Deekshith (28) and Kaushik (21) were arrested.

The incident occurred when Ansar and  three others were heading towards Talapady from Mangaluru in a Xylo Car. At the toll plaza, they told the staff that they were locals and as per rules need not pay toll.

But the staff pointed out the car’s Maharashtra registration number and  asked the driver to produce ID or  necessary documents. But when the latter refused and picked up a quarrel,  the toll booth staff reportedly assaulted Ansar.

Ullal Police who rushed to the spot arrested the two toll booth staff and have registered an attempt to murder case.
