Acid Attack in Belthangady, Victim suffers serious burns.

Belthangady: August 23, 2015: A 30-year-old man suffered severe burns on his body after a man threw acid on him in Belthangady on Saturday.
The victim Ashok Poojary works as a contractor here in Belthangady. The accused has been identified as Saju.
According the sources, Saju had sexually assaulted a woman who is a relative of Ashok. The woman informed about the incident to Ashok and the family member after she reached home, the family member went to confront Saju who was then working in a rubber estate.
When Ashok questioned Saju about the sexual assault on woman, Saju allegedly threw acid on Ashok and fled from the spot throwing his mobile.
Soon the family members admitted Ashok to govt. hospital and later shifted to A J hospital.
A case has been registered against Saju at Belthangady police station.
