Ace hockey player S V Sunil weds Mangalurean Nisha

Mangaluru, Mar 05, 2018: India’s well known hockey player and Arjuna awardee S V Sunil  entered into wedlock with  Nisha of Derebail Konchady at a ceremony held at the auditorium of Sri Gokarnanatha Temple at Kudroli on March 4, Sunday, The reception scheduled to be held at Madikeri today is expected to be attended by several hockey players of the Indian squad.

 

Nisha is the daughter of Taranath Acharya. Both Nisha and Sunil were engaged last year. Sunil   is the son of Vittal Acharya and  is presently a prominent player of the Indian hockey squad.  He was part of the Indian team that struck gold at the Asian Games  of 2014  and silver at the Hero Champions Trophy in 2016.  The four striking goals scored by him at the Champions Challenge in 2011 is the highest number of goals scored by an Indian forwarder so far.

He was conferred the prestigious Arjuna Award  from  President Ram Nath Kovind last year.
