Mangaluru, Jan 10, 2015: In a shocking incident which took place on January 9, Friday, the accused in the Derlakatte forced sex case reportedly threatened a police inspector while escorting the former to the court.
It is learnt, the accused created trouble by refusing to appear before the court and even reportedly warned the cops that they would deal with them once out of prison.
Following this development, additional police personnel were summoned to the spot.
It may be recalled here that the incident wherein two students of a medical college in Derlakatte were kidnapped and forced to have sex had taken place on December 18, 2013. The happenings were also videographed by the accused who threatened to release the clippings if they were not paid the amount which they demanded.
As many as eight persons were arrested by the police later on.
