Accident at Kadri-Kambla Road claims the life of a woman

Mangaluru, Dec 01: An auto rickshaw and a truck collision at Kadri-Kambla Road claimed the life of a woman on Sunday, December 01, 2019.
The victim is identified as Shailaja Rao(58) a resident of Batagudda, Mangaluru. She was a teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Panambur. She was traveling in the auto rickshaw when it met with the accident, colliding with a commercial truck.
Eye witness said that the speeding truck had hit the auto rickshaw and dragged it to short distance before it stopped.
The two were taken to the nearby hospital where Mrs Rao succumbs to injuries. The driver of the auto rickshaw was thrown out but survived.
