ASI serving in DCIB dies of cardiac arrest

Bantwal, Jan 30, 2017 : Dinesh B K (45) who was serving as Assistant Sub-Inspector in the Mangaluru Branch of DCIB has passed away due to cardiac arrest on January 29, Saturday night.

Dinesh B K Dinesh hailed from Puttur. He was on way home on Saturday night when he suddenly fell ill near Neralakatte.

Locals had immediately taken him to a hospital in Mangaluru after calling an ambulance. However, his life could not be saved. It is said Dinesh was also a diabetic.

The deceased ASI had earlier served in Subrahmanya, Sullia, Bantwal and Belthangady police station limits. He is survived by his wife and a son.

Senior police officials including SP Bhushan Gulabrao Borase, ASP Vedamurthy and others paid respects to the deceased ASI. The last rites were held in Puttur.
