After an invocation by the college choir, a series of presentations, including a presentation on St. Aloysius College, a video tour of AIMIT, St. Aloysius College, Beeri, and a presentation on the various problems facing the world and how management education is required to solve them were held. Faculty Coordinator of Manasamanthana 2010 Mr. Renjith Krishnan gave a presentation on the relevance of MBA in the current scenario, how to modify it to suit global demands, and how redesigning management education is one of the most effective ways of bridging the gap between industry and syllabus.


Dr. Aloysius Sequiera, the former registrar of NITK; Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues, rector of Aloysian Institutes; Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo, the director of AIMIT; Rev. Dr. Oswald Mascarenhas, the chairman of MBA Department; Mr. Renjith Krishnan K., the faculty coordinator; Ms. Ramya Uchil, the student coordinator; and Mr. Govil Saldanha, the secretary of the Management Club, were the dignitaries on the dais.


 Mr. Govil Saldanha delivered the welcome and introductory address. Dr. Aloysius Sequeira thanked St. Aloysius College and congratulated AIMIT for organizing an event promoting research among students. Speaking on the significance of the title, “Manasamanthana,” Fr. Denzil Lobo said that some students got it from the Puranas. Manasamanthana literally means “churning of minds.” The chief guest then released the proceedings of Manasamanthana.


Rev. Dr. Oswald Mascarenhas delivered the key-note address in which he spoke of the shortcomings of the present content, curriculum, and delivery of the MBA programme and said that it needs to be modified without eliminated the best practices of the present system.


During the valedictory programme, Rev Fr. Swebert D’Silva, principal of St. Aloysius College; Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo, the director of AIMIT; Rev. Dr. Oswald Mascarenhas, the chairman of MBA; Dr. Shridhar, the dean of MBA; Mr. Renjith Krishnan K., the faculty coordinator; Ms. Ramya Uchil, the student coordinator; and Mr. Govil Saldanha, the secretary of the management club, were the dignitaries on the dais.


Mr. Ansen delivered the welcome address and introduced the chief guests. Dr. S. Shridhar, the dean of MBA, said that the current MBA programme at AIMIT is in a transition mode with even the lecturers in the learning mode.


Fr. Swebert D’Silva SJ released the working paper series authored by the AIMIT faculty. He also awarded certificates to all the participants. The winners were Mr. Minole Lloyd Lobo and Ms. Lin Mariyolla Pinto from St. Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor. The runners up were Mr. Allen Ben Pinto and Mr. Govil Dane Saldanha from AIMIT.
