ABVP activists booked for abusing principal of University College

Mangalore, July 27, 2014: The Pandeshwar Police have filed an FIR against the ABVP activists following a complaint by the Principal of University College at Hampankatta in Mangalore on July 26, Saturday. It has been alleged that the ABVP activists have abused the Principal in the celebrations that ensued after the Student Council elections were declared.

Sources said the Principal had earlier objected to the ABVP act of bringing two mini buses and parking them inside the College campus. It is learnt, former students as well as several others were brought for the celebrations without seeking the permission of the Principal.

Chaos ensued when there arose an altercation between the Principal and the ABVP activists and the latter reportedly pushed a lecturer aside and even abused the Principal.

The situation was brought under control later by the Pandeshwar police.
