91 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK, 72 cases in Udupi on July 14

Mangaluru, July 14, 2020: 91 people from Dakshina Kannada and 72 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Three more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in the DK district today.

Out of the 91 cases reported in DK, 29 were cases of influenza like illness (ILI), 5 cases of SARI, one with international travel history and 20 are primary contacts of other patients. Contact tracing of 35 patients is under process, while one pre-surgery sample.

As many as 47 patients were discharged from hospital today. With today’s 91 cases, the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 2,452. As many as 985 persons have been discharged and 53 deaths have occurred including 3 deaths today.

Udupi district has reported 72 fresh cases on Monday. Among them, 14 cases of influenza like illness (ILI), one with SARI symptoms, 8 with inter-district travel history and 48 primary contacts of other patients. Now, the Udupi district has a total of 1,733 cases with 370 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 1,360 patients recovered and discharged including 15 on Tuesday. The district has reported five COVID-19 fatality.
