Mahesh, KSRTC Divisional Controller of Mangalore has informed that  four Volvo buses each would operate on the Mangalore Dharmasthala  route and  Mangalore-Subrahmanya route. The  KSRTC headquarters had  approved the commencement of services  in September and the introduction of service was delayed due to shortage of drivers as well as the bad state of the Mangalore-Dharmasthala-Subrahmanya road owing to heavy rains.

As of now, the KSRTC has  four Rajahamsa limited stop bus services from  State Bank to Dharmasthala and the fare for  the distance has been reduced from Rs 91 to Rs 70.

In the new Volvo buses, the fare between Mangalore and Dharmasthala would be Rs 90, while the fare for the Mangalore Subrahmanya bus is Rs 120. The fare for the travel between Dharmasthala-Subrahmanya route is Rs 75.
