Mangaluru, March 21, 2020: Of the 88 throat swab samples sent for testing so far from Dakshina Kannada, 79 samples, which included 17 sent on Thursday, have turned negative for COVID-19.
In a bulletin on Friday, Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B. Rupesh said that 36,951 passengers have been screened so far, which included 630 persons who were checked for fever on Friday. As many as 1,564 persons are undergoing home quarantine of 28 days and 10 persons have completed the period.
There were 14 persons under observation in the ESI Hospital that included five persons who were admitted on Friday. As many as nine fresh throat swab samples were sent for tests on Friday.
Continuing with their house-to-house visits, Accredited Social Health Activists have so far contacted 4,00,148 persons in 1,04,151 houses and made persons who returned from abroad and elderly citizens stay at home.
