Mangaluru, July 27, 2019: The spread of Dengue fever continues to be a cause of great concern for the administration as well as the general public. As many as 46 new cases of Dengue were reported from the district on July 27, Friday. Of the total cases, 40 were from Mangaluru and four from Bantwal taluk.
On Friday, MCC vigilance teams which visited Pandeshwar and Bunder areas identified several mosquito breeding places and collected a fine of Rs 35,000 from the persons concerned.
In Udupi district as many as 97 cases of Dengue and 40 cases of Malaria have been reported so far.
Maximum dengue cases have been reported from Varamballi near Brahmavar where the authorities have resorted to fogging.
