42 new Covid-19 cases in DK, Udupi reports 13 new infections

Mangaluru, Jan 06, 2021:     Dakshina Kannada district recorded 42 fresh Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the total cases in the district to 33,080.

 
The district has 395 active cases undergoing treatment at hospitals, Covid care centres and in home isolation. As many as 22 patients were discharged in the district taking the total number of recoveries to 31,953.

As many as 5,07,956 samples have been tested in Dakshina Kannada district so far. The officials have booked 20,634 mask violation cases in the district and collected a fine of 21,92,704 so far.

Udupi

As many as 13 people were found infected with Covid-19 in Udupi, taking the total number of cases in the district to 23,149 as on Wednesday.

As many as 10 patients were discharged in the district, while there are 109 active cases.

A total of 189 deaths have occured so far in the district.
