4 yr old boy dies in Scooty-jeep collision near Gurupur

Mangalore, May 5, 2014 : A tragic road mishap reported from near Gurupur on May 4, Sunday resulted in the death of four year old boy. His uncle sustained serious injuries in the mishap.

The accident occurred near Ane in Gurupur when the two who were in a Scooty were heading towards Bondel after attending the engagement of a relative at Shirthady.

A vegetable laden jeep hit their two-wheeler resulting in serious injuries to the two. The boy died while being rushed to the hospital.

The boy’s parents were proceeding in another two-wheeler when the accident took place.

The deceased is Avniel Pais, son of Sunith Pais and Prescilla. The injured person is Ronald. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.

The jeep that caused the accident was heading from Yedapadavu.
