4 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK, 13 cases in Udupi on June 20

Mangaluru, Jun 20, 2020:  Four people from Dakshina Kannada and thirteen people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, June 20.

Among the 4 cases in Dakshina Kannada, three men and a women. One of them  contracted the infection from P-8005 and remaining three are returned from Saudi Areabia, Kuwait and Maharastra.

With this the total positive cases in the district rose to 426, including 10 persons from other districts. As many as 206 persons have been discharged and eight deaths have occurred so far.

Udupi district has reported 13 positive cases on Saturday. Among them, 10 are Maharashtra returnees, one Bengaluru returnee and a person contracted infection from a lab technician who was tested positive few days ago. The source of infection of one more patient is yet to be traced.

Now, the Udupi district has a total of 1063 cases with 102 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 959 patients including 9 people on Saturday, recovered and discharged. The district has reported two COVID-19 fatality.
