4 arrested for involvement in cattle theft, burglaries

Mangaluru, Mar 23,2017 : As many as four persons wanted in many cases including cattle theft cases were arrested by the police on March 22, Wednesday. A scooter and two bikes have been recovered from them.
Those arrested are Abdul Karim (46), Hidayat (22) from Chembugudde, Mutalib (38) from Manjanady and Mohammad Ajab (21) from Bajal. Another wanted person Salim Chembugudde is absconding.
The four have several cases against them in Mangaluru North, Suratkal, Ullal, Konaje, Kadaba and Puttur police stations. It is said they were behind the case of theft of four cows from a house at Capitanio and also the burglary in a textile shop at Pumpwell. Police suspect their involvement in a robbery bid at a house at Kannur.
