4 accused in Prashanth Poojary murder case surrender

Mangaluru, June 08, 2017:  Four accused in the Prashanth Poojary murder case reported from Moodbidri in 2015 have surrendered before the local court on June 7, Wednesday.

The accused are Siraj Ullal (28), Tajuddin Bajpe, Anwar Bajpe and Akbar Valachil.

The accused have also reportedly admitted during interrogation that they had even attacked two persons named Ashok and Vasu near  Handelu.

This incident had however taken place a few days before the brutal murder of Prashanth Poojary.

All the four  have been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.

It may be recalled here that the murder of Prashanth Poojary, a flower vendor   on October 9, 20115 had caused quite uproar in the area.  Of the total 17  accused in the case, so far  10  have been  arrested.  Of the accused, Mustafa of Kavoor had died in an attack on him in the  Mysuru prison.  Of the ten  arrested earlier, 9 have been granted bail.
