380 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 293 cases in Udupi on September 20

Mangaluru, September 20, 2020: 380 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and 293 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Six more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK district today.

Among the 380 new cases in DK, 180 are from Mangaluru, 74 from Bantwal, 30 from Beltangady, 74 from Puttur, 12 from Sullia and 20 are from outside DK district. As many as 353 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 20,134. As many as 15,101 persons have been discharged and 4,550 cases are currently active. 482 deaths have occurred including 6 today.

Udupi district has reported 293 fresh cases on Sunday. Among them, 23 are from Udupi, 95 from Kundapur, 70 from Karkala and five from outside the district. Now, the Udupi has a total of 15,391 cases with 1,415 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 13,836 patients recovered and discharged including 215 today. The district has reported 140 COVID-19 fatality.
