32-year-old man dies in Truck-Bike collision near Santhekatte.

Udupi: August 2, 2015: A 32-year-old man died on the spot and the pillion rider was seriously injured in a Truck-Bike collision that occurred on NH 66 near Santhekatte, on August 2.
The deceased has been identified as Ashok (32) from Salmara Uppuru.
The incident occurred when the truck which was on its way to Kundapur from Udupi collided with the bike from behind in a bid to overtake the vehicle. The impact of the accident was such that both the riders were dragged over for several feet. Ashok breathed his last while Ramesh was critically injured. The locals rushed them to a nearby hospital.
A case has been registered in the Traffic Police station.
