26 year old arrested by Manipal police for Medical exam fraud

Manipal, June 10, 2015: A 26 year old post graduate medical student was arrested by Manipal Police for impersonation and cheating Manipal University.



Anshul Grower (26) the accused from Kurukshetra in Haryana, was arrested as per complaint given by Manipal University.

According to the complaint, Anshul had applied for an MD seat and written an online examination on February 19, 2015 and on March 10 he attended the counseling and was selected for an MD seat.

 He submitted all his original documents on May 20. But when the University verified the documents for biometric and fingerprints on May 30, they did not tally.

The person who had written the exam and came for counseling, and the person who came for the admission were different.

Anshul was arrested in Manipal on Monday and was produced before the court in Udupi on Tuesday.He has been remanded judicial custody till Wednesday.
