Bantwal, June 17, 2016 : As much as 25 loads of sand which were unauthorisedly stored in a private land and also in a lorry, were seized by the officials of the Department of Mines and Geology near the Farangipete Railway tracks.
The operation led by Department officer Girish Mohan followed a complaint by locals in the backdrop of ban on sand mining from June 15.

Just a day back the police have seized so many lorries transporting sand illegally .Now once again . It is no use arresting the drivers .the main person involved has to be traced and arrested . |
