21st anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas: Rich tributes paid to martyrs

Mangaluru, July 26, 2020: Rich tributes were made to the Kargil martyrs on behalf of the DK District Ex-Servicemen’s Association along with Lions Club and Centre for Integrated Learning at a ceremony held at the War Memorial at Kadri on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas on Sunday.

Speakig on the occassion Addnl. Deputy Commissioner, M J Roopa, recalled the valiant efforts of the Indian army during the Kargil war which had claimed the lives of many army men and heft over a thousand wounded. It is the duty of each and everyone to remember the services of these martyrs, she added.

Col. N Sharath Bhandary, an ex-serviceman, former MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik, Lions Club president Krishnanda Pai, Convenor of Centre for Integrated Learning S. Nandagopal and other were present on the occassion.
