Bantwal, Nov 08, 2017: Two persons sustained injuries when a coconut tree fell over a house at Kaithrodi quarters near Rayi during the heavy rains and strong winds that lashed the area on November 6, Monday night.
The injured namely Leela Poojary and her nephew Nishanth were rushed to the hospital with the help of locals.
The mishap has left cracks on the walls of the house while the roofing has been extensively damaged. Even electrical equipment have been damaged and the loss has been estimated at Rs 1.5 lakhs.
