2 bike riders meet tragic end in road mishap near Vamadapadavu

Vittal, Dec 21, 2013: Two bike riders lost their lives in a tragic road mishap reported from Andralike near Vamadapadavu in Punjalakatte police station limits on December 20, Friday. The deceased are Sharath (21), son of Ramananda Sapalya of Chennaithodi and Suresh Shetty (45), son of Balu Shetty of Antaraguttu.
The mishap took place when the bike rider Sharath lost control over his two-wheeler at Andralike. As the two fell on the road, they were run over by a speeding pick-up vehicle that passed that way. Though the two who were seriously injured were rushed to the Vamadapadavu government hospital and then to a private hospital in Mangalore, they breathed their last enroute.
If Sharath worked in a shamiyana shop at Vamadapadavu, Suresh was a labourer. Punjalakatte police have registered a case.
